Kax

Kax Solutions & Services is a small family run company located in Lockport, New York. The name Kax comes from the first initials of the three children of Therese & Jay Krull; Katrina, Alexander & Xavier. The name Kax was adopted in 2000, (when Xavier was about 2 years old. Without him perhaps we would be called “Ka” instead. He wasn’t named with a ‘X’ name to end off the business name, but it certainly does finish it off nicely).

Prior to adopting the Kax name Jay had performed consulting work as a side gig under his own name for over a decade. Having grown up in a family business and filling various roles for other companies he gained a wide variety of experiences. That, along with his education and entrepreneurial personality, gave him the tools needed to offer a variety of skills to companies operating on a budget. Rather than hiring a large staff of full time employees with specialized roles, a company could meet many of its goals by hiring Jay on an as needed or contractual basis.

In 2000 it was finally time to break out on his own. He negotiated  with his then employer to transition from a full time employee to a consultant with the goal of training his replacements. (Yes replacements plural. Jay was known for taking on several hats where ever he landed throughout his career. This is part of what gave him the vast experience mentioed earlier).

Eventually, the reins of Kax were handed over to Therese. (That’s another story which we will share down the road). Therese runs things on a day to day basis performing a variety of roles including Graphic Design, Data Management, Customer Service and pretty much anything which comes her way.

Over the years each one of their children has worked for Kax. After earning his bachelors degree Alex began working with the company in 2012 and is an integral part of the continued success of the business.

We are ever changing the structure of Kax along with several other business ventures. The next couple of years will see more change as Alex continues to take on more responsibility.
